This super-obscure book, which I am told is out of print, was a "Suggested" textbook for my Statistical Quality Control course (senior-level Engineering). Since it was ridiculously inexpensive I purchased it.
We had an exam in the semester, which was open-note & book. Most of the class didn't have the book and probably didn't think it was important to the exam. There was a problem on the exam that I was confused on and didn't know how to do, but the problem began with "This sampling scheme (developed by H.F. Dodge) blah blah blah ..." and it hit me: look up HF Dodge in the appendix. Sure enough, his sampling scheme was in the book, and the examples in the book provided the exact answer to the problem on the test :D It probably made the difference between an A and an A-.
